It is with great joy that I testify to the wonderful healing...

It is with great joy that I testify to the wonderful healing power of Christian Science. All my life I had been delicate, always taking medicine for some ailment or other; but still I grew no stronger, and was unable to play games or take any walking exercise.

Then I heard of Christian Science, and became interested through a dear friend who had experienced a beautiful healing. Since that time, six years ago, I have attended church and studied Christian Science; and I am deeply grateful to be able to say that I am now strong, and can play games and take exercise without any fear of after effects.

Early one morning as I was performing certain duties there appeared to be a mist over my left eye. I worked mentally about this discordant condition, but it gradually became worse until I could hardly see out of the eye. Fear tempted me and I became horribly afraid, because when quite young I had been told that I should possibly go blind in this eye in later years. I went to a Christian Science practitioner who lovingly gave me help, and instantly the fear left me. Each morning on waking my first thought was to cast out of consciousness any wrong suggestions about this condition, and to know myself as God's child, reflecting only perfection, thus making consciousness open to receive God's ideas. One morning as soon as I awakened this line from one of the Christian Science hymns came into my thought, "The longing to be good and true;" the next words I could not remember. When the Hymnal was brought, they were found to be, "Has brought the light again." I tried to understand what this could mean to me—"Has brought the light again." What light had it brought? Then came the realization that I was healed—I could see again. And oh, what gratitude and joy this healing brought me!
