Prayer

To learn the truth concerning God and man,
And with this truth in mind, if need be, stand
Unwavering, with pure triumphant faith,
Through days or even months of strife, or face
With undisturbed serenity and calm
Apparent victory of sin or wrong,
And with assurance say, Thy will be done,
Because you know His perfect law of love
Cannot be mocked—to silence self and fear,
And wait in peace His way and hour—is prayer.
