In gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through the understanding of Christian Science, I give this testimony.

During my childhood I was very delicate. At the age of fifteen, while living in Canada, I was placed under medical treatment for kidney trouble, which kept me in bed for a number of months. It was finally considered necessary to send me to Utah to save my life. I was given the very best medical care, and was helped. The doctor told me I never could be cured, but that by following his directions carefully my life would be prolonged. Very often the trouble would result in hives, causing my face and body to swell beyond recognition and making me ill for weeks at a time.

Twenty-two years ago I was invited to attend a Christian Science Sunday service. I felt so uplifted at that service that I decided to study Christian Science. All my life previously I had wanted to know about God, and used to wish that Jesus were on earth to heal to-day, so that I might be healed. Through the study and application of this Science I learned the truth about God and man's relationship to Him. Fear was lessened, irritation and impatience gave way to kindness, the kidney trouble and its effects disappeared, and blemishes from which I had suffered at least once a year were overcome. I am so grateful for the loving help of practitioners. Through their understanding I have been healed of headaches, pyorrhea, influenza, and inflammation of the bladder. I was instantaneously healed of a sprained ankle, and many other discords have been overcome. I have never resorted to any material means for healing since taking up the study of Christian Science: I have depended upon Truth to heal.
