New Lecture Arrangements

The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, in order to improve their service both to the Christian Science churches and the public, while at the same time modifying somewhat the inconveniences to themselves incident to extensive travel, have adopted the following plan for the lecture work during the coming lecture year.

The territory of the United States and Canada has been divided into three equal sections, Eastern, Central, and Western, the divisions being determined by the number of lectures given during the year just closing. The members of the Board of Lectureship have been arranged alphabetically in three groups, and the lecture year divided into three seasons, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. The groups of lecturers will alternate in the various sections, so that during the year, all will be available in each section, except in the case of those who have been assigned to service in distant countries.

The particulars of the arrangement will be set forth in the circular about to be published, which will immediately upon issue be sent to all the various churches and societies throughout the world. It is believed that this arrangement will better subserve the purposes for which the Board of Lectureship was established, while at the same time lessening the amount of travel for the lecturer. The hearty cooperation of all concerned is invited to the end that the plan may be most successfully carried out.
