I feel that I have withheld my testimony to the healing...

I feel that I have withheld my testimony to the healing and regenerating power of Truth long enough, and it is with an earnest and keen desire to help my brother wayfarer in the journey from sense to Soul, as I have been helped and sustained by reading the testimonies in our Christian Science literature, that I give mine.

I am grateful for many things, among them the healing of sprained ankles, which before coming into Christian Science were strapped and would then take about ten days to heal. Since I learned how to apply the truth of divine Love's ever-presence and all-power, this condition has yielded in one day, with every vestige of discoloration and swelling gone, and the use of the foot being normal. I am also grateful for healings of cold, grippe, and an aggravated form of bladder trouble which disappeared when I was trying to express love to a brother in need. I found that by losing myself in service for another I was healed.

I have experienced a more recent healing of an infection of the ear and throat. This seemed slow, but I am grateful, as it taught me patience and gave me an opportunity for more earnest study of Mrs. Eddy's writings. There were times when the suffering was intense and I passed through deep waters; but the Christ, Truth, was always there. And as I learned to rest like a tired child in the arms of divine Love, and realized that God was taking care of me, I would peacefully fall asleep. The muscles of the face, which had stiffened, relaxed to their normal state; and while this condition persisted for eight weeks there was no period of convalescence, and everyone marveled at the picture of health I presented after it was overcome. I am deeply grateful for the kind friends who led me to this healing truth, and for the faithful, devoted help of a loving practitioner. I am grateful for the harmony that has come into our home through learning how to live the life which is true prayer. As Mrs. Eddy says in one of her poems (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 397; Poems, p. 13):
