Oh, that I might express my gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, not in mere words, which are inadequate, but in deeds, in the daily living of the truth and love of divine Science, for all the blessings and healings it has bestowed upon me and mine! The instantaneous healing of my eldest daughter was proof to me that it is divine Mind which heals our diseases. It brought to me a sincere desire to know God, and showed that He meant me to seek diligently; which I am happy to say I did. Then came the healing of the desire to take material medicine. My youngest daughter was healed of earache, which she had had since she was a baby. It seemed a slow healing, but when fear was overcome the healing took place. Both children were also healed through Christian Science of tonsillitis in a severe form.

I have been healed, through my study of Christian Science, of repeated colds; and I also had an instantaneous healing of influenza eleven years ago, and of chronic bowel trouble and headaches which I had had since a little child. The last healing was slow, for not until five years ago did I realize I was free; and I have been free ever since. Thus we prove Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 246), "Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness." A stanza of one of our hymns gives me much courage:
