[Written for the Sentinel]

Let Earth Bring Forth

I ask not other time or space,
God's time is now; here is His place.
God gives the field.
Let earth bring forth! is His decree;
And seed to sow is given me
From fields of immortality.

Nor sleep of sense, nor dream-born fear,
Let earth bring forth;
But resurrection, vision clear.
God bids me know, and witness bear,
That thought divine is present care
Omnipotent, and mine to share.

When in His fields I sow and reap,
And faith with life eternal keep,
Divine decree
Is law and truth and life to me
Through æon and eternity.
