It is with a deep sense of humility and unbounded gratitude that I add my testimony to the thousands of others that tell of the hope and encouragement which Christian Science is bringing to those who are seeking the practical, true religion taught by Jesus and reclaimed for us by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I was raised from the "valley of the shadow of death" at the age of fifteen years, being healed of a so-called incurable disease; and for over nineteen years I have been proving the truths taught us in Christian Science. I have two splendid children who know that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," as Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and who rely upon the truth to overcome every discord that comes into their experience. I am so grateful that they have had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School.

Our boy was once struck by a seven-passenger sedan, filled to capacity. He was thrown under the car and dragged about fifteen feet, the rear wheel passing over one foot. X-ray pictures showed what the physician called a very severe bruise; and he said that the child would have to keep off the foot for a long time. With the loving and effectual help of an earnest Christian Science practitioner, however, the child walked in one week and returned to school in two weeks.

Opportunities for proving this wonderful truth have been numerous in my experience, and we know that trials are stepping-stones to the understanding that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and very grateful for our periodicals.
