In gratitude for all the blessings my family and I have received, I wish to give this testimony. Five years ago I heard Christian Science spoken of for the first time. It was presented to my mother, who had been suffering from nervous difficulties for several years; and some time later the healing was accomplished. Since then, with the aid of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we have solved many problems. One morning I experienced pain in my mouth, but did not pay any attention to it. The next day it was impossible for me to eat, and I seemed to be choking. We worked faithfully, but without any apparent result; and so we asked help from a practitioner.

Having been for a few days only in the office where I was employed, I was obliged to call a physician and ask him for a certificate that would justify my absence. The healing was accomplished through Christian Science treatment in a few days. Later, we learned the seriousness of the illness, according to so-called medical law.
