Among the Churches
Current Notes
Oswego Palladium-Times
Oswego, New York (First Church).—Negotiations have now been completed for the purchase of the homestead at the northeast corner of West Second and Mohawk Streets by First Church of Christ, Scientist, for church purposes. The dwelling contains fourteen rooms, is of frame construction, and substantially built. It is admirably located for church purposes, and is one step more toward making the block in which it stands largely devoted to public use. Extensive alterations and improvements will be made to the property at once, according to church officials, and the building given a Colonial exterior appearance. There will be a large auditorium, a Reading Room, and a large library among other structural improvements in the interior.
