New Member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship

The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the election of Mr. Arthur P. DeCamp, C. S. B., of St. Louis, Missouri, to membership on The Christian Science Board of Lectureship. Mr. DeCamp is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and received his education in the public schools of that city. He has been a student of Christian Science for about forty years, and for nearly that length of time has been actively engaged in Christian Science practice. Mr. DeCamp became a member of The Mother Church in 1893, and in 1900 attended the Normal class of the Board of Education, receiving a certificate to teach Christian Science. Following his instruction in the Normal class, Mr. DeCamp remained in Boston, and in October, 1901, he was, on the recommendation of Mrs. Eddy, elected a First Member of The Mother Church. Shortly after he became a member of the Committee on Finance of The Mother Church, which office he held until June, 1902. Since making his home in St. Louis, Mr. DeCamp has served First Church there as its First Reader, and he has been Committee on Publication for the state of Missouri for a period of five years. During the world war, Mr. DeCamp was a special representative of The Mother Church in France, and he has rendered excellent service as a member of a Christian Science Relief Committee in dispensing relief to flood sufferers in the Mississippi River Valley. Mr. DeCamp will be available for lectures in February.
