My first help in Christian Science was sought for the healing of a condition of anemia which had returned for the third time, medicine having been employed in the two previous attacks. The healing of this condition covered a period of several weeks, during the greater part of which time I was under Christian Science treatment. These treatments were discontinued before the evidences of the complete healing were manifested; but my own study of Christian Science was faithfully kept up, and finally every symptom of the disease disappeared. This was something over twelve years ago, and complete freedom from this condition has been enjoyed ever since. The freedom from any sense of fear of its return has been as beneficial as was the healing.

During this intervening period I have had many healings, not only of all manner of physical discords, but also of mental disturbances, sorrow and lack included. Greater than all these blessings combined, however, has been the spiritual awakening which I have experienced. On page 304 of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read: "This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death;" and I find that to the extent I accept this wonderful truth and live in obedience thereto, I am proving its verity.
