I am truly grateful for the understanding of Truth I have gained through the study of Christian Science, and for what our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has done for all mankind in giving us the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." We are learning that it is the Christ Science, the Comforter that Jesus promised us.

Christian Science is the greatest blessing that ever came into my life. I was harassed with biliousness, constipation, and so-called inherited sick headaches. Many physicians told me there was no permanent cure for headaches of this nature. I can thankfully say that through the study of Christian Science and the help of some of the dear practitioners, all these difficulties disappeared about the same time, four years ago. It seemed as if iron chains had been broken and I was free.

The blessings I have received in striving to understand Christian Science are too numerous to mention. Jesus says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." We are now learning why our efforts in the past have been failures: we trusted human will to govern us, instead of looking to God, who is the supreme power and the loving Father of all. We are learning to be less afraid of the subtle beliefs of evil. "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life," to quote one of the Tenets of Christian Science (Science and Health, p. 497). How true it is that if we are honestly and earnestly seeking and affirming the truth, and denying the error that seemingly confronts us, all our problems in due time are solved. I have many still to be solved, and am rejoicing over the slight knowledge of Truth I have gained. Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (pp. 348, 349), "If such are the present fruits, what will the harvest be, when this Science is more generally understood?"
