In 1903 I attended a Wednesday evening meeting in a small Christian Science church. I had been sick for about ten years with a disordered condition of the blood. I went to a Christian Science practitioner, and through her help and the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings I steadily gained health. Often I would ride seventy-five miles on my pass, and return on a later train to attend a Wednesday evening meeting. When I attended the dedication of the Extension of The Mother Church I was completely healed of eye trouble while looking over the vast audience from the first balcony, and thinking that, perhaps, never before in the history of the world had there been so many people together who knew as much about Truth as that five thousand. I have had many healings in Christian Science of physical ills; also of mental and financial difficulties; and I have always had money to give for our lectures and collections.

When I went through class I learned that God is divine Principle; and this alone has been worth many times the price of class instruction. I have worked on the distribution committee, taught a class in Sunday school, ushered, cleaned the furnace pipes, been clerk and chairman of directors, Sunday school superintendent, and a Reader in a branch church. All of these experiences have taught me the great work each of us has to do to clear his consciousness of old false beliefs, and to prove that man is not material, but spiritual.

I have always been thankful to the one who first told me about Christian Science; also to Mrs. Eddy, and all who loyally follow her.
