As an evidence of the deep sense of gratitude I feel for the many blessings gained through the study and practice of Christian Science, I offer my testimony of the healing power of this truth. From childhood I had been subject to swollen tonsils and severe sore throat. As I grew older, this condition became worse, until my tonsils were ulcerated; and I was informed they were so badly diseased that the only hope of relief was an operation. I was also greatly distressed by sick headaches and heart attacks of increasing frequency. I knew of Christian Science, and had done some desultory reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, but had never really studied it. Deciding to give it a fair trial, I began a thoughtful study of Mrs. Eddy's writings and asked for help from a practitioner. My condition improved; and about six years ago I was completely healed. Since then I have never questioned the ability of Christian Science to meet every need. Astigmatism, a badly sprained ankle, sore mouth, colds, and many other disturbing conditions have been destroyed through the correct application of the law of divine Principle.

Christian Science, I can truthfully say, has changed my outlook on life and made me far happier. I am indeed thankful for the physical healings I have experienced; yet these are the least of its treasures. The spiritual understanding of the Bible that has come through the study of Science and Health means much more to me. When we rely on God alone, we are safe; and Mrs. Eddy has taught us how to do this. For her example and her writings I am profoundly grateful.—(Mrs.) Lillian L. Smith, Indianapolis, Ind.
