My wife and I have been in Christian Science for more...
My wife and I have been in Christian Science for more than six years and we find no words to give the slightest idea of the tremendous happiness we enjoy; we therefore feel the need of expressing our gratitude for all that Christian Science has given us since we have been happy enough to have some understanding of it. My wife wore bandages for varicose veins for more than twenty-five years, but has removed them, knowing that henceforth they are useless. Also pills which for a long time had been thought essential to produce certain functional results, have gone to join the bandages, and all is well. As to food, we no longer consider what we should or should not eat; we eat anything we care to eat, and feel all right. As for me, I am particularly grateful for having been healed of very painful hemorrhoids, as well as of the tobacco habit. I have never had the slightest desire to smoke since. For ten years I had to wear eyeglasses, but am writing this testimony without them.
Pages would not suffice to name all the blessings that we owe to Christian Science. Especially are we grateful for moral uplift. We owe to Christian Science all the joy and happiness of being able to help our fellow man. We should like to do much more, so great is our enthusiasm, but wisdom points the way and the right time to do good; it is a realm where the harvest is great and the laborers are few, and our wish in closing this testimony is that God may always raise up more laborers for His harvest, and that He may grant to us both the needful qualities so that we shall be good and useful laborers working with all our hearts in His service.
