After reading the different testimonies in the Sentinel and Journal I wish to add my testimony to the healings I have experienced in Science. I was a sufferer from inflammatory rheumatism since infancy and was under a physician's care almost continually but never received any permanent results. This condition was healed in three treatments in Science when I was about sixteen years of age. I failed to show my gratitude to God and Christian Science by striving to live as Mrs. Eddy teaches; instead I lived to enjoy the so-called pleasures of the world. About a year ago I awoke in the morning to go to work as usual but found my entire left side was paralyzed. I had medical treatment for about two weeks to quiet the fears of home folks until I could get in touch with a practitioner, as my first healing showed that medical treatment was unreliable. In about a month after commencing treatments I was entirely healed, having the same use of my body as always, and glasses have been laid aside.

I am most grateful for the spiritual uplift and peace of mind which accompanies the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons and am trying to live as we are taught to in Christian Science.—James H. Pickering, Eastwood, Ohio.
