In looking over the testimonies in one of my Sentinels I found where we are reminded, "Freely ye have received, freely give." As I have received so many blessings since taking up the study of Christian Science I feel that I must add my testimony to those already given.

Christian Science has helped me in a great many ways. It has helped me to overcome poor eyesight. Two specialists said I had compound astigmatism with complications, and that my sight would never be any better, but by wearing properly fitted glasses all of the time I might be able to keep it from becoming worse. I overcame this claim when first beginning to study Christian Science, without any work along this line at all. I simply read Science and Health and Christian Science literature eagerly and found that I would forget to put my glasses on, and then awoke to the fact that my eyes were healed. It has healed rupture for my little boy, also croup and all the ills which children are subject to when we are not alert enough to use Christian Science as a preventive.

I think so many people feel that it needs a great deal of understanding to be able to overcome discords and ills for ourselves, and feel that they should call a practitioner at once. I have always found if I search faithfully for an answer to my problem my help is ever present. One time, before I had begun really to study Christian Science I was having a very bad time with an ulcerated tooth. In fact for three days and nights I had suffered terribly. My jaw was so swollen it was impossible to move it and I was using every material remedy I had ever heard of, until finally I took up my copy of Science and Health, and as I opened it up I thought, "Oh! if there is one word of truth in this book, let me find it now." And I did so for on the very page at which I opened the book I read something which I knew was the truth. I just read that one sentence over and over as it seemed to be printed twice as large as the rest of the page. I don't know how long I sat there, but finally my little boy spoke to me and I answered him and as I did so I found I could move my jaw perfectly and that all sense of pain was gone. I wish to say that I was subject to periodical spells of neuralgia, but I never had any symptoms of it from that day on, which is four years ago. I have had a great many healings in the same way. I only find it necessary to search faithfully and not give up, and the way is always opened up and I am shown the answer.
