It is with a deep sense of gratitude for what Christian Science...
It is with a deep sense of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and in the hope of encouraging some one who has struggled long to be freed from physical discord that I send this testimony.
Several years ago I was pronounced by a physician to be suffering form pulmonary tuberculosis; I was sent to a well-known sanatorium for the treatment of this disease. After remaining two years at this institution, I found myself so much worse that it was decided I should try the climate of Colorado as a last resort. At a sanatorium all patients are classified, and when I left I came under the classification of "a long-standing case with unfavorable symptoms."
In Colorado I was in as bad condition as ever. It was while in this hopeless state that I received a letter from a friend urging me to turn to Christian Science for help. I chose a practitioner from the list printed in the Journal and started treatment at once. My progress seemed very slow to me and I often gave way to discouragement, but when one considers that I was suffering from almost every symptom of the disease besides being a complete nervous wreck, it is not be wondered at that I was not completely restored in a few weeks. Gradually improvement began to be apparent, and after two years of studying and working in Science with help from practitioners when it seemed to be needed, I was like a new creature. No one was more ready than my former physician to give the credit of my recovery to Christian Science. After a thorough examination he pronounced my case one of the most remarkable cures that had come under his observation. I have since lived in the eastern part of the United States for nearly two years with no ill effects from the rigorous eastern climate.
