Words only inadequately express my deep gratitude for all the benefits which I have derived through the study and application of Christian Science. In the first place, it has given me an abiding sense of peace and joy, where at times only sorrow, confusion, discord, and dismay seemed to prevail. I came into Christian Science as a young girl, through attending the Wednesday evening meetings. The testimonies seemed so perfectly natural and absolutely true that I readily grasped something of what this religion stands for. I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday school and can never be grateful enough for all the loving-kindness shown me and the knowledge of Truth I obtained through that source. It was there that I gained enough understanding to take my first steps in demonstrating this Science. Later, the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school was extended to me and nothing ever afforded me greater joy, as I fully appreciated what the Sunday school had meant to me.

I am thankful to God for Christ Jesus, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for all our literature, which so ably elucidates the Scriptures. I have found the "pearl of great price" to be the conscious ability to apply the law of God to every circumstance. For the past ten years Christian Science has been my only physician and has healed me of many physical ailments, namely, colds, pleurisy, Spanish influenza, headaches, bowel trouble, as well as bad traits of character. All of these healings have proved permanent.
