Through the great love and patience manifested by my mother in a sincere effort to live the life of a Christian Scientist, I was attracted to her religion. Through the help of a practitioner and the reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, what I considered the most immoral habit was given up first. Later the tobacco habit was laid aside and the temptation to use profane language disappeared. As I progressed in my study and application of this teaching I found that discouragement, anger, despondency, and the like were the causes of my suffering. To-day I am happy to say I am much less subject to these foes. Stomach trouble has also been overcome.
I find Christian Science indispensable in my home. This healing truth has been my only physician for nearly twelve years. During that time I have applied it to many problems, and it has always satisfied my need. I feel very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us The Christian Science Monitor, and for the great good it is doing for all mankind.
