About five years ago, while suffering from a nervous breakdown, I was asked by a friend to attend a Wednesday evening meeting at the Christian Science church. I had always been prejudiced against this religion but thought I would go once and see what it was like. I heard so many wonderful and beautiful testimonies that it seemed to me I did not know anything about the Bible if these were true. In a few days I began to investigate Christian Science and I was certainly blessed, for it seemed every step I took that God was with me. I was led to the home of a practitioner and received benefit in a few days, and in three weeks was healed of the nervous trouble. Eight doctors had told me I would never get well, but I was strong physically and could not give up, and my persistent hope has been satisfied. I have been healed of a number of ailments, of severe headaches, appendicitis, and a sprained ankle. The last mentioned healing was wonderful, the intense pain leaving me instantly when I declared the allness of God, and that I could retain nothing but good. That experience alone proved to me the omnipotence of God.

I am grateful for all of Mrs. Eddy's works, and for the loving friends Christian Science brings to one.
