"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search...

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." This promise was fulfilled in my experience when Christian Science came into my life, about ten years ago. My thought was not open to it because of any conscious need of healing, but because of a hungry, unsatisfied desire to find God. As the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, was read and studied with thought receptive to the truth contained therein, naturally many healings resulted.

Glasses were put off, after having been depended upon constantly for over ten years because of an eye trouble pronounced incurable by two noted specialists, a very aggravated condition of years' standing was overcome, also incipient tuberculosis, and many minor ailments disappeared, all from studying Science and Health. In August, 1913, a severe attack of kidney stone was overcome in four hours, and there has been no return or suggestion of the disease since that time. Fear that a malignant disease might be inherited has been overcome by a steadfast clinging to God as Father-Mother, Love.

These are some of the physical healings; but there are other experiences for which I am even more grateful,—an increasing freedom from temperamental traits, the lessening of fear and timidity, a growing out of a false sense of self,—and these mean much to me. May my gratitude find expression in a larger love for God and man.
