A song of gratitude has been rising in my heart these past years for what Christian Science has done for me and mine, and I wish to tell of some of the ways in which I have been blessed. When I was ten years old, my mother took up the study of Christian Science to find relief from sorrow after the passing on of my father. She found the help she sought and from that time on we had no help in time of sickness save Christian Science, which always proved completely effectual when rightly applied.

It has only been in the last few years, however, when with children of my own I have been placed oftentimes where I have had to depend upon my own understanding of the divine rules and laws of this wonderful religion, that I have realized the possibilities to be gained through its application and have awakened to the blessings and happiness it has brought into my experience. The healings have been many. Any discordant manifestation which arises in our home is destroyed quickly and effectively when thought is turned to God in the way in which we are taught in Christian Science. Fear, anger, criticism, and all the errors of the human mind are disappearing gradually from my experience; while I am learning each day to look to God more and more for guidance without outlining or speculating on the future and its prospects.

My admiration and my gratitude go out to Mrs. Eddy, whose pure life of self-sacrifice and devotion to good made Christian Science possible.
