The Lectures

EAST ST. LOUIS, ILL. (First Church).—Virgil O. Strickler, lecturer; introduced by Mrs. Stella Atkins, who said in part:—

It is more widely known today than it was a few years ago, that Christian Science heals the sick. Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." And his works were healing the sick, saving the sinner, preaching the gospel. This promise was not made for a limited period of time nor to a selected few, but to those who believed on Jesus throughout all ages. Jesus also said, "By their fruits ye shall know them." We who have received in part the fruits of Christian Science find them good, and we learn that in proportion to our understanding and application of the Principle and rule of this Science of Christianity to our daily experiences, there will be brought into our lives more happiness, peace, joy, health, an increased ability to do good, and a greater love for God and our fellow man.

MILWAUKEE, WIS. (Second Church).—Bliss Knapp, lecturer; introduced by B. F. West, who said in part:—
