Christian Science has taught me in a very practical way that God is Love, and I thank God for the peace and joy that comes to my consciousness when the presence of Love is felt. To know that divine Love is the only power, and cannot give or send anything which is unlike Love, has been a revelation to me. As this truth becomes more clear, many of the old doctrinal beliefs are dropping away, also hate, fear, and discouragement. Trials and difficulties of all kinds, including many physical ailments, among them severe ear trouble, chronic stomach and bowel disorder, and minor ills, have been overcome.

While there is a deep sense of gratitude for the physical benefit, it does not compare with the understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him, which makes us more compassionate, loving, and just to our brother man. One special blessing I would like to mention, for it has meant much to my growth, and that is the privilege of assisting in church work. This has enabled me to see that the harvest is ripe and truly plenteous, and that the work is broadening in every sense. I have found it necessary always to let the light shine before men. I shall feel very grateful if these few words help some stranger who is seeking a God who is Love and an ever present help.—Gertrude E. Miller, Baltimore, Md.
