Words cannot express my thankfulness to God for Christian Science, and my earnest desire in giving this testimony is to help others to seek and find the healing, as I have done. I was healed of what was pronounced a structural defect of the eyes, after having worn glasses for twelve years. Twice I had been obliged to remain for two weeks in a darkened room, with my eyes bandaged and with fear of blindness. I was finally told that my eyes were in a very serious condition, which could not be remedied by glasses.

In great fear I went to a friend, who advised me to try Christian Science. I attended a Wednesday evening meeting, and after hearing the testimonies felt greatly encouraged. I could hardly wait until next day to get "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," for I knew I would be healed. My eyes got stronger each day as I read the book, and the healing was complete, all pain and headaches having been overcome. I did not leave off my glasses for about a year after that, but have not worn them since 1911.

While studying the Christian Science text-book and the Bible, heart trouble vanished into its native nothingness. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," and I have indeed had abundant proof that through the study of the Bible and Science and Health the truth does make free. Not alone for the physical healing am I grateful, but for the spiritual uplift.
