During the nine years that I have been a student of Christian Science each hour has unfolded its blessings and glory. My first experiences of healing came through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I was enabled to lay off glasses which had been worn constantly for twelve years owing to a structural defect of the eyes and a muscular trouble accompanied by chronic neuralgia of the head. A brace had been prescribed by a specialist to relieve a severe condition which was not given a name, but which was said to be difficult to cure, and this brace also was discarded, the healing coming through my study of the text-book.

With the help of a practitioner I have been freed from nervous exhaustion and chronic stomach and intestinal troubles, also from a return of incipient pulmonary tuberculosis, from which I had suffered during my girlhood. These healings have all been permanent. Several of the ailments yielded instantaneously, but others slowly. When I stopped trying to throw off physical diseases, and was "willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord," seeking diligently the Christ-idea, these conditions yielded more rapidly to the healing truth. I rejoice in the overcoming of a habit of worry and diffidence, and especially in the healing of the sense of sorrow and separation at the time my father passed on.

Christian Science found me sinking deeper and deeper into a state of despairing invalidism, but it has brought me out into a happy, useful life. I am grateful for the understanding of divine Principle that has come to me, and especially for the sense of the Father's impartial love.
