Cambridge (England) Review

Speaking of Mrs. Eddy, your reviewer says, "She saw some profound truth, though apparently she did not understand it; at any rate, her exposition makes no appeal to reason." If there is one presentation of Christianity which does appeal to reason, it is Christian Science. Nowhere throughout the works of Mrs. Eddy does she deviate one hair's breadth from the premise that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, or, as she states it on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." Every conclusion throughout her writings conforms to this. The truth that Mrs. Eddy perceived through spiritual understanding she was able to demonstrate. She proved her faith by her works. This should silence the suggestion that she did not understand the profound truth she had discovered.
