Many times I have picked up the Sentinel or the Journal...
Many times I have picked up the Sentinel or the Journal and derived just the help I needed from some testimony. It is therefore with joy and gratitude that I send mine in the hope it will help some one as I have been helped. The blessings I have received are without number. Before coming into Science life was a burden to me, and I was so discontented and unhappy that I did not care to live; but this has all been changed to joy and peace, and a spiritual uplift which is far greater than the physical healing. I had many healings, but was always opposed to Science until I was instantaneously healed after being in bed a week, not able to lift my head or taste food. The physician said I would have to undergo an operation, but after having one Christian Science treatment I could not get down stairs to prepare a meal fast enough.
Then I thirsted to know why I was healed, so studied from five to eight hours a day. In seven months I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. The same day I sat up, the third day took all care of the baby, and in a week rode fifteen miles over rough roads with her, to go to the dentist. We have never used material remedies with the child and she is a constant joy. The doctor predicted terrible things when I appeared on the street the first time, but I am thankful there are no laws of disease in God's universe. The baby has been healed instantaneously of bowel trouble, burns, and fever. I have been healed of numerous ills,—mental, moral, and physical. We have had many wonderful demonstrations of supply; I asked daily for guidance in knowing that true substance is not in material riches.
I feel so grateful for the truth that is helping me from sense to Soul, also to Mrs. Eddy for being so pure as to make plain to all the true way of living. I have learned to rejoice always, for "underneath are the everlasting arms."
