I feel that it is both a duty and a pleasure to tell others of what Christian Science has done for me. For thirteen years I was an invalid, suffering from what was diagnosed as organic heart disease and a serious kidney disorder. I had been an in-patient of two hospitals, spending seven weeks in one and four weeks in the other. During this time I had massage and electricity each day for a month, X-rays three times, and one internal operation. I was examined by several of our leading specialists. With all this treatment I got no better, and was told that the case was incurable, that I would be an invalid the rest of my life. Doctors and nurses were most kind to me, and this I appreciate very much.

In October, 1911, a friend asked me to try Christian Science. I had never heard of this teaching before, and I thought it was utterly impossible for Christian Science to do anything for me but this friend's confidence so impressed me that I promised him I would see a practitioner. I am very thankful that I did so, for I began to improve at once, and in six months was perfectly healed. I have not taken medicine or used any material means since my first visit to the practitioner, and I am deeply grateful for being led to the truth which has set me free. It is a great pleasure to be well and strong, so that I can do all my housework. I also help with the distribution of our literature, and this I love to do. I should like to mention that my husband, two daughters, and a son have all come into Christian Science. For all these blessings I am thankful to God, and more grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health than I can find words to express.-
