I came to this city in March, 1911, a stranger, and I...

I came to this city in March, 1911, a stranger, and I had then been interested in Christian Science only a short time. I was staying at the home of a friend, who fell ill and decided to call a Christian Science practitioner. I needed help soon after this, so I went to see the same practitioner and asked for treatment. All my life I had been troubled with bowel disorder, and had never known a time when I was not taking medicine. The practitioner treated me, and now I never even think of taking drugs. I was healed through her treatment, and the healing has been permanent.

I have been cured of other physical ailments, and also of a mental trouble. I have been lifted above a sorrow worse than death, and through the practitioner's help have learned how to bear this burden, so that I now have more peace of mind than I ever thought possible "but with God all things are possible." Her advice was always to go for relief to the Bible and to Science and Health. I have learned to love these books, and I hope as time goes on to understand them better. I am grateful for Christian Science and for the privilege of attending the Christian Science church.
