It is with great joy that I express my gratitude for the blessings which I have experienced through Christian Science. In the winter of 1913 I suffered with rheumatism and a serious affection of the left knee-joint, so that I had to spend twenty-three weeks at a hospital. Medicines and poultices were resorted to, but they all failed to give relief. In the spring I heard of Christian Science and attended the church services several times; then through reading Der Herold der Christian Science assiduously, the truth of this wonderful teaching gradually unfolded itself to me. I finally asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, which was gladly taken up, with the result that after the first few treatments I felt very much relived. My improvement was rapid, and in a short time I realized absolute freedom. Whereas formerly I was hardly able to walk, I can now perform the heaviest tasks without being reminded of the trouble in the least.
For this wonderful proof of the power of divine Love I am profoundly thankful to God, and also grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way leading to Truth.—Eduard Sicker, Mieste, Altmark, Germany.
