In November, 1910, I was suddenly taken severely ill with high fever and great pain in the throat. I was unable to swallow, and apparently my condition was hopeless unless an operation were performed. My husband and children wanted to get a physician, but I wished a Christian Science practitioner to come, so they sent for one. The first treatment relieved me, and after a few more treatments I was entirely well. This healing has made me realize once more how wonderful is the knowledge of true being which divine Love has given us through Mrs. Eddy, and for which my gratitude is unbounded. I shall strive to prove this through a constantly growing endeavor to follow the teachings of Christian Science.
