Last year, while working in a factory, my hand was...

Last year, while working in a factory, my hand was badly injured, and although I paid a number of visits to a surgeon and had him dress the wound, still after several weeks there was pain and the wound did not heal. I then went to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and during one of our conversations I explained that I used tobacco, but that I should be glad to break the habit. I had smoked for over fifty years, and on various occasions I had tried to stop by will-power, but every effort to discontinue its use had ended in failure. After a few treatments my hand was perfectly healed, and all desire for tobacco left me, so that I have not smoked since.

I feel very thankful to God, and also to our dear Leader for the many blessings that have come into my life from the study of Christian Science.
