With love and gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I submit the following testimony of healing, in the hope that it will be of benefit to some one who may be afflicted as I was. For about seven years I was addicted to the use of intoxicants; not very bad at first, but as time wore on the habit seemed to get a stronger hold on me, until at last I was a total wreck. That which should have been sought first was put off till the last. I had always said that if everything failed, I would give Christian Science a trial, as I had seen my mother healed through its ministrations some years before. After numerous material remedies had failed, I became totally disgusted with myself, and on May 6, 1908, decided to give Christian Science a trial. I at once called on a practitioner, and my healing was instantaneous. Since then I have not had the least desire for drink.

From the time of my healing I began the study of Christian Science. It has been our only physician, and it has met all our needs. I find the study very interesting, and also practical for every-day life. My earnest desire is to know more of its teachings, that I may hold fast to that which is good. Thanks be to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful work. I am also grateful to all the members of the Butte Society, who have taken much interest in us.
