It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I wish to testify as to how both our children were healed of severe sickness through Christian Science. It is but two years ago since we saw the light of Truth, our attention being called to Christian Science and its remarkable healing influence by acquaintances of ours. We asked for treatment for our little boy, then two years old, who was afflicted from his birth with a severe scrofulous eruption and a stubborn bowel disorder for which we had left no remedy untried. The first treatment in Christian Science furnished sufficient proof to us that we had found the true physician, and we learned that God is divine Love, omnipotent and omnipresent, and that He helps us always if we put all our trust in Him. Within a short time the little fellow was freed of both these diseases.

In March, 1909, our eight-year-old girl was taken severely ill with a children's disease. The condition seemed to grow very serious, so we notified a Christian Science practitioner, who immediately came to see the child and took up treatment. The child improved from the start; the fever abated, she fell asleep, and by the next morning felt very much better. Although the eruption remained, the temperature was normal, and a bowel complaint which had set in disappeared with the second treatment. After three days the disease, which to sense had seemed serious, was entirely overcome. Two weeks later our little boy was taken down with the same disease, although the symptoms were manifested in a somewhat different form. During the first day the little fellow had severe spells of vomiting, and the condition of the throat seemed alarming. Had we not known that evil cannot affect the true child of God, that divine Love is all-power and an ever-present help, we would have been full of fear. Although the child had absent treatment only, we could see its effects plainly, and when the practitioner came to see the boy he was very much better. He then had one present treatment, and on third third day he was perfectly well and happy.

My heart was filled anew with thankfulness to God for these wonderful proofs of the power of divine Love and Truth, and words fail to express my thanks and my love for dear Mrs. Eddy, who has reexpressed this saving truth.
