It is with deep thankfulness that I testify to the healing power of divine Love and Truth, as taught in the Bible and explained by the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My attention was drawn to Christian Science by a friend, who told me of some one she knew who land been healed so wonderfully (so it seemed to us) that I felt sure there must be something in it. That was more than two years ago. Some time after this I visited the Christian Science reading-room, and attended a testimony meeting in First Church of Christ, Scientist, Leeds, Yorkshire, where I heard such earnest testimonies given that I should have felt it was simply impossible to doubt that the people were speaking the truth.

Afterward I had Science and Health lent to me. In reading I saw much of the beauty of its spiritual teaching, but could not follow its line of reasoning regarding the healing. I was advised to read it again, and at the second perusal I was so much impressed by its spiritual beauty that I forgot I needed healing. I was then asked if I would like help. I said I would, and when it was explained to me what this help was, that it was just the truth and power of God, I said I should like to be healed in that way. In March, 1908, I received my first treatment in Christian Science. The practitioner visited me three times. I received my strength in about ten days, and after the first treatment was enabled to put off glasses which I had worn for nearly six years. A skin disease from which I had suffered severely four years vanished, and I can now say that a stomach and bowel trouble is healed. Of this last I had a great fear, and it is only recently that I know the fear has gone. So I know I am healed.

I have been studying this beautiful gospel of healing for nearly two years, and my great desire is to go on studying it. What it will reveal to me in the future is often a matter of wonder. I only feel that Mrs. Eddy must have lived very near to God to see it all so clearly, to have strength and courage to give it out, and "having done all, to stand." I am very thankful for her pure life.
