The teachings of Christian Science enable mankind to distinguish between the so-called human mind and the infinite divine Mind, between that which is false and that which is true. One might think that two times two equals five, though this would not make it so; but it is possible to understand—to know—that two times two equals four, because of the unchanging law of numbers.

We have Scriptural authority for declaring that man is the image of God, divine Mind, the All-knowing, and as man's existence is the reflection of the one Mind, man must express the intelligence which knows. Therefore he does not imagine he is something which he is not. In Paul's epistle to the Romans he said: "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ." Thus, as a man understandeth the things which are true, so is he heir of all things, by reason of the spiritual law of divine Principle.
