AMONG THE CHURCHES

An important real estate transaction has been effected in the sale of the oldest building in the city, the farm dwelling-house on North Fifth street between Buttonwood and Woodward streets. This old landmark has been purchased by the congregation of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city, and a chapel will be erected, plans for which are now in preparation. It is the intention of the Christian Scientists to erect a church edifice within the next few years. The property extends sixty feet along Fifth street and is one hundred and thirty feet in depth.
