Over three years ago, when I was living in Elk City, Okla., I was taken down with kidney disease in its worst form. I had three of the best doctors there, and they said I could live but a few days longer. I had been treated by a Christian Science practitioner in two previous illnesses and was healed in both instances, so as soon as I could find the address of a practitioner I went to see her, and was healed of this disease as well as several other ailments, one of which was baldness of long standing.

The physician said I had organic heart disease, and I also had neuralgic and catarrhal trouble so that I was taking an opiate, besides a powerful drug for my heart; by the doctor's advice I was also drinking whisky. All this is awful to think of, but thanks be to God and to Christian Science I am a free man today. I love God with all my heart, and with all my soul, and with all my mind. I was a sufferer for thirty odd years, but now I feel like a new man, and I am grateful to God for it; also to Mrs. Eddy as the Discoverer of this blessed truth.
