Are you seeking health and harmony through Christian Science? Then "put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground." You will need to go no farther. My mother was healed by this inspiring truth, after ten years of intense suffering from a disease of the eyes which necessitated constant physical and mental quietness. The slightest noise distressed her, so that the childhood days of her four children seemed cheerless—left to the mercy of hired help in bringing them up. I have no early memory of my mother except as on a sick-bed. After Christian Science came this was changed. She became well; attended to her household affairs, and has been a spiritual companion to all who know her.

My brother suffered continually, in the winters more than in the summers. When he was two years old an attack of illness left him with an affection of the lungs, and every year he grew weaker, until he too was healed in Christian Science. How well I remember his first treatment! My mother had been healed, and a Christian Science practitioner was visiting in our home. My brother had been vaccinated, in accord with the school regulations, and his arm was badly swollen and excruciatingly painful. He was weeping and begging for a sleeping powder. The Christian Science practitioner offered to help him, and he retired without the powder and slept well. The suffering ceased and we heard nothing more about the arm. It seemed perfectly wonderful then; now I see that it was perfectly natural.

There are no words that I can find to tell of my own condition at this time. I was apathetic, pessimistic, and extremely nervous. Every effort fatigued me, and it was predicted by many that I would not live through my teens. After a great many treatments in Christian Science I responded and was healed. I laid aside my glasses, became energetic, and it is hard to make any one who did not know me then, believe that I have not always been well and cheerful. The salvation which has brought the family to this harmonious point of recovery, sustains and guides, and we press on in gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Our home is happy and harmonious. Before Christian Science came it was more like a hospital than anything else. In the words of one of our hymns:—
