Christian Science does not teach that the universe and man do not exist; but only that they are not what they seem to be to the unillumined consciousness. It teaches that they will be infinitely more beautiful and grand to us when truly comprehended. "It doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."

Recent events show the awakening of the people to demand something more practical than mere theorizing. Christian Science has already healed hundreds and thousands of cases of organic and functional disease, a very large percentage of those cases having been pronounced incurable by physicians. Thousands of people, including clergymen, physicians, stanch church-members, and agnostics, are joining the ranks of Christian Science; because they are learning that it is a rational religion, which heals the sick, regenerates the sinner, and restores the hopeless and despairing to health and happiness.
