My Thanksgiving season would not be complete without...

My Thanksgiving season would not be complete without offering my thanks to God, and speaking of my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the understanding of divine Truth obtained through the study of her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." As a Jewess my opinions as to Jesus and the Christ have undergone a radical and a beautiful change since I have come into Christian Science. The Bible is my daily companion, and I can now see why in the old belief my spiritual hunger was never satisfied. For ten years I suffered tortures from what seven different physicians, whom I at different times employed (some of them specialists), pronounced an unknown and incurable spinal malady. The days were full of dread and the nights even fuller of misery, when Christian Science was recommended. Now, after one and a half years of not only earnest seeking but of striving to have that Mind in me "which was also in Christ Jesus," I am a perfectly well woman; indeed, I can say I am "every whit whole."

Last spring, my son, sixteen years of age, was felled to the ground by a stroke of lightning and his eyes seriously injured. The wires were down, and I could not reach the nearest practitioner for two days by letter, so I took up the case myself. My trust was fully rewarded, for, with the practitioner's help to complete the work, my son had in a week's time fully recovered from the shock, and very soon his eyes were again normal. Many tests of our faith came to us within that first year, but we as a family relied solely upon the infinite Father, in whom "we live, and move, and have our being." We earnestly desire to bring to others the knowledge that "all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation" (Science and Health, p. 468).
