I write this in behalf of my mother, Mrs. Louise Dunker, who does not know enough of the English language to write it herself. My mother was ill with what the doctor pronounced a neuralgic affection of the eyes. This was very painful, and after she had taken medical treatment for about two weeks, the doctor told her she ought to see a specialist, as she was getting no better. She did so, and the medicine was changed about every other day, but each new remedy seemed to make her worse.
I finally asked her if she would be willing to take Christian Science treatment. She said she would take anything to get rid of the dreadful pain. Her eyes were closed, as she could not bear to open them, and her whole body seemed to be affected, for she could hardly walk. She began with the Science treatment, and in three treatments she was able to come to the table and help herself, could keep her eyes open most of the time, and in ten days was able to go out and do her usual work. In less than two weeks after the first treatment she went to church with me. She is now perfectly well and happy.
