While Christian Science has its devotees by tens of thousands, it also has its opponents. It is based on a theory antagonistic to long-established ideas, and has had a strenuous and tempestuous career in the effort to secure a firm foundation. But after all, there is little in creeds or dogmas.... More of the Christ-idea is entering the lives of men and women, and less of dogma, creed, and superstition. The nearer people get to Christ and the lessons taught by his grand life, the nearer they approach the ideal and the farther they recede from figurative and unsatisfying forms of worship. Whatever tends to draw men and women to the simple creed of Calvary's sacrifice, helps to uplift and glorify their natures.
