"By their fruits ye shall know them" is a saying which points to the most trustworthy method of forming a correct estimate of people and systems. Let us look first at the fruits of the practice of Christian Science, a practice which is the outcome, the legitimate fruit of the teachings and practice of Jesus Christ.
First: The sick are healed or greatly benefited in the majority of cases. Some statisticians state that ninety per cent of the cases treated in Christian Science are healed, including cases previously pronounced incurable. The ratio is increasing with better understanding of the subject.
Result: An improved state of health. Second: Errors are disclosed to the beneficiary of Christian Science of which he had been unaware, or else indifferent thereto, and the desire is born to correct these errors. This is not brought about through "telling the faults." They are disclosed to one's own perception through the silent action of spiritual law, either soon or gradually. Result: An improved character. Third: A greater love for the Bible, together with a better comprehension of its meaning, is developed; also, increasing ability to utilize the elevated thoughts there perceived. It is difficult to say what will be the ultimate result of the opening of this vast treasure-house to the human race. Many followers of the faith testify to greater intelligence, enlarged capacities, and better business ability.
