The Rev. William P. McKenzie lectured on Christian Science at Second Church of Christ, Scientist, on Oct. 1 and 2. He was introduced the first evening by Walter H. Vanzwoll, who said in part,—

Christian Science teaches mortals to look up and not down, to pause before the deceptive images of false mortal belief; and, instead of plunging into the shallows of human folly and material self-seeking, to lift thought heavenward above the material to the spiritual, above earthliness to God, out of fear into spiritual understanding, out of sin and disease into moral and physical health.

Thus we may seize the victory which Truth always wins over error. Christian Science is the word of Truth,—"the word of God,"—which is "the sword of the Spirit," an all-powerful weapon with which each one may for himself slay the dragon of sin and suffering which tries to rob mankind of health and happiness.
