I am very grateful for the healing I have received through Christian Science. I had been troubled with my back for some time; in fact I never felt free from pain. I also suffered terribly from headaches, which I had all my life, and would be ill for two and three days at a time. One evening, in the winter of 1906, the conversation turned to Christian Science and I said to my husband that I thought I would try it. To my great surprise he said he wished I would do so. I went at once to the telephone and called up a practitioner who was also a friend of mine, and asked her to treat me. At the time I had several plasters on my back and round my heart, for that also troubled me. The next morning it did not hurt me to rise, whereas every movement did so before. I could not understand it at all, for I had no idea what a Christian Science treatment was. The second day I went to the practitioner, and she told me I must take off the plasters. That night I did so, and I have not used any material remedies since. I bought the text-book, Science and Health, and by reading it my headaches disappeared—I have not had one since, and my body is free from aches and pains.

In January, 1907, I joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, Memphis, Tenn., and I am striving to live up to its teachings, which bring only peace and happiness. I am also very thankful that I can help others through this saving truth. For all the help Christian Science has been to me words are insufficient to express my gratitude to God, the giver of all good, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. My problems are not yet all worked out, but I I am on the right road. Joy and peace are mine, and the other fruits will come in due season.
