I feel it my duty to express our heartfelt gratitude for...

I feel it my duty to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the good which has come to us in Christian Science, but which seemed unattainable until its advent. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the wonderful healing of our nephew, and of my wife. My nephew complained of his neck and spine, and after a short time the muscles became contracted so that he could no longer turn his head. We went to a specialist, who said that the boy would always be deformed; that this was the result of a dreaded disease of childhood, and also of an unfortunate fall, and that as he was now sixteen, he could not grow taller, but would become more deformed, and probably would have a goiter. Christian Science treatment was then given, and after eight months he was perfectly healed, and his growth in height was indeed wonderful.

My wife was also healed of a severe bladder trouble of eight years' standing. She was in a hospital for six months without finding relief. When she was dismissed from the hospital, she was told that a sea voyage might be beneficial, but it did not help her. She kept on with medical treatment, until at length we asked the last physician if there was any possibility of a cure. He said that he doubted it. This seemed hard, as my wife was a young woman, who had a child, a husband, and a home. At that time we received the glad tidings of Christian Science healing. After the first treatment she felt relief, and in about a year she was perfectly healed. We have now two strong, healthy boys, and every one says that my wife is looking better than ever.

We are sending this testimony that our German fellow-countrymen may be assured that there is a God who does answer prayer. May God bless our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
